about

The darkest of all the tracks makes for an appropriate closer for the EP. The sonic premise of this song according to Coretastrophic guitarist Ben Eller is that you're being teleported to another dimension, but contrary to your premonition that other dimensions might be more complex and better than ours, this new dimension is rather trashy and worse than ours.

Ambient hemiola accents give a canvas to irresolute clean chords and bizarre guitar-generated noise. Then... gratuitous swing-blues metal, followed by completely random spazz riffs. Some 12-bar djerp ensues, then some psyopic tap-pulls, and a passage of genre-stereotypical diminished runs, building to a serene, pretty ballad interlude where you would have expected a breakdown. Then the song concludes in the way it began, fading into dissonant oblivion - making you glad to be in the dimension to which you've returned.
